Getting started with FanOut
Everything here takes about a minute. Any trouble, email support@fanout.uk and we'll sort it.
1. One-minute setup
Open Settings and add two things: your business name (how customers know you) and your Google review link. That's the link that drops a customer straight onto your review box.
Where do I find my Google review link?
- Open the Google Maps app (or Google Business Profile).
- Search your own business and open your profile.
- Tap Ask for reviews (or Share profile → review link).
- Copy the link and paste it into FanOut — done once, used forever.
2. Log a finished job
Job done? Tap in the customer's first name and mobile number — that's it, about 10 seconds. Email and a job note are optional.
3. Send the review request
Your job appears under Ready to send. Tap WhatsApp — your own WhatsApp opens with the message already written, review link included. You just hit send. Nothing is ever sent automatically, and it costs you nothing per message.
Tip: send the morning after the job — that's when most reviews come in.
4. Nudge (optional)
A few days later, if the review hasn't landed, a gentle Nudge button appears. Same idea: tap it, your messaging app opens with a softer reminder ready to send.
5. Mark the review as landed
When a customer leaves you a review, tap Got the review on that job. It's just for your own record — it shows a green Reviewed ✓ and helps you see how many asks turn into reviews.
Common questions
Is this allowed under Google's review rules?
Yes. Every customer gets the same message — there's no happy/unhappy branching, which is exactly what Google's policy requires.
Can I edit the message?
Yes — open Settings, tap "The message your customers get", and change the wording. {name}, {business} and {link} fill in automatically.
How do I change my details if I rebrand?
Open Settings any time and update your business name, review link, or message.
How do I cancel?
Pro users: Settings → Manage billing to update your card or cancel. You can also close your account entirely (Settings → Close my account), which cancels billing and erases your data.
